I see that gdm is running and a gdmgreeter prompt is on the main screen of the system. After I login, do some work and logout, for some reason /usr/bin/gdmgreeter is no longer running. Therefore, I do not have a login prompt. At the moment all I am able to do is kill -9 all the gdm processes and process "1" restarts gdm properly with gdmgreeter.
