If possible it should link dynamically against liblivemedia, otherwise mplayer
needs a rebuild if a security problem is found in liblivemedia.

However, it appears as if Sam intentionally dropped providing a shared lib in
liblivemedia 2006.03.17-2 and he did that probably for a good reason, so maybe
you can check the current status with him:

|    * 010_static_link.diff: (new patch from old diff.gz) create static
|      libraries instead of a shared one.
