I see this for all channels on irc.darkmyst.org. I should add that the pane for other nicks in the chat is always empty, too. I have just now tried irc.freenode.net and see both filled-out nick panes and conversation in a few randomly-selected channels there, so apparently darkmyst is doing something odd.
