Package: ntp
Version: 1:4.2.4p0+dfsg-1
Severity: normal

When upgrading from etch to lenny this weekend, ntp was upgraded from
1:4.2.2.p4+dfsg-2 -> 1:4.2.4p0+dfsg-1 and I observed the same behavior
(kernel time sync error 0001) with kernel 2.6.18. However, when I switched
to the latest kernel in lenny (2.6.21), the error went away and ntp
seems to be doing its thing.

So, since 2.6.18 in lenny is now obsolete, this bug can probably be
closed.
