Package: ntp Version: 1:4.2.4p0+dfsg-1 Severity: normal When upgrading from etch to lenny this weekend, ntp was upgraded from 1:4.2.2.p4+dfsg-2 -> 1:4.2.4p0+dfsg-1 and I observed the same behavior (kernel time sync error 0001) with kernel 2.6.18. However, when I switched to the latest kernel in lenny (2.6.21), the error went away and ntp seems to be doing its thing.
So, since 2.6.18 in lenny is now obsolete, this bug can probably be closed. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (80, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ntp depends on: ii adduser 3.104 add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.6.1-1+b1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcap1 1:1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libreadline5 5.2-3 GNU readline and history libraries ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8e-6 SSL shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.1-24 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii netbase 4.30 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii perl 5.8.8-7 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ntp recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- Bill Wohler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.newt.com/wohler/ GnuPG ID:610BD9AD -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
