I should add to my explanation that if xmms doesn't run at all without libmikmod2, and you use the Nvidia binary drivers, then this a known problem with their interaction with the C libraries - it isn't an XMMS problem. See #246601 and #219352 for more information. Cheers, Christopher Martin
