Nearly a year ago Norbert sent an updated TODO list to this list and it was among the tasks... The first problem is described in the bug. The second is that pbox-tex (which should be named latex-pbox, by the way) is already part of texlive. So either Simon says that he wants to keep on maintaining the package, then we remove the files from texlive-latex-extra. Or we keep them and remove pbox-tex from the archive.
