My screen resolution is set to 1400x1050. When I start gcompris in full-screen mode, it first changes the screen resolution to 800x600 (?), then starts the program. The program itself works fine, but when I exit the program and return to 1400x1050, all the windows and icons on the desktop have been relocated/distorted by the initial change in resolution. There is otherwise no problem, but I see no reason why gcompris should interfere with my settings . . .
