I use --buildresult .... and that wasn't possible with current "$*" > I vaguely remember using $@ at first but --debbuildops expecting > a single word. So I'd rather keep the existing syntax (except you have a > case where that fails). Those are all covered by "$@" whcih properly preserves the words that the user supplied.
