Package: uswsusp Version: 0.6~cvs20070618-1 Followup-For: Bug #439433
Along the line yaird was installed on my system and used to create the initrd image. This caused uswsusp to fail silently without any output indicating that a yaird image is incompatible. My solution was to remove the yaird package and then recreate the initrd image by reconfiguring the kernel package. Then reconfiguring uswsusp rebuilt the initrd and now suspend to disk and resume work as exoected. Please note this incompatibility in the README.Debian until yaird is useful with this package.
