Hi, AFAIK, the battery applet should use HAL now, but there seems to be a few problems with it, for example http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315943 Is this the problem on your system? > PS: There now seems to be a gnome-power-manger, which seems to do it > correctly.
