Alternatively wengophone can be built with libboost-*1.33.1-10 and
{g++,gcc}-4.2, which would reduce wengophone's dependence on
packages not-yet-in-testing.
It works on my i686-pc with a mixed etch/lenny system.
The bug is caused by boost and not gcc (see [1]).
Therefore I would not be too confident in compiling with a newer version
of gcc and the old boost, as a new release of gcc could reveal the bug
again. Rather gcc 3.4 could be used (as 4.0 in no longer in testing).
Anyway, new boost are in unstable without RC bugs. I hope they can get
included in testing in 10 days. If they fail again, I think your
proposal could be an acceptable way to get wengophone in testing.
