It seems to be expected (I mean "not broken by the Debian packaging"). The Xserver master branch has been containing the Xorg version number for a while (still 7.2 as of today then), while server-1.3-branch switched to the Xserver version numbers a little bit after being forked. http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/xserver.git;a=commitdiff;h=cb86fced0e379badd96af5ad303710af30fafd2e;hp=e707604ab3fd45c1f9d07b666181fc181e68a827 I don't know whether the 1.4 branch will get a 1.4 version numbering or not. I agree that all this looks a little bit confusing (especially for binary drivers :)). Feel free to post a patch on the xorg mailing list if you want to display both the Xorg and Xserver versions :) Brice -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
