I'm wondering if any of you will be able to do some more debugging to track down exactly what is going on here? I can't replicate the problem myself, and am at a loss to explain what may be causing it. Running offlineimap -1 -d imap -u TTY.TTYUI should produce some significant output. If you can track the UID change in there -- what it originally was, what it changed to, and what caused that -- this would be great.
