Package: laptop-mode-tools
Version: 1.34-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

Most "powertop" tips should probably be applied automatically by
laptop-mode-tools. Namely, for ac97 sound boards:

Suggestion: enable AC97 powersave mode by executing the following command:
   echo 1 > /sys/module/snd_ac97_codec/parameters/power_save
or by passing power_save=1 as module parameter.

(I can't set the module parameter in my /etc/modprobe.d because I
sometimes boot with some kernels that don't have this option, and then
the module would refuse to load)
