Package: emacs22 Version: 22.1+1 Severity: minor File debian/bin/info/install-info says:
# Dummy script to fool emacs install into thinking it did something # useful. Unfortunately, it doesn't fool emacs at all, because ... it is never called. The emacs configure script looks for an install-info binary along the normal PATH, and uses the one found (which would normally be /usr/sbin/install-info) throughout the build. This happens to just work but in my case it breaks because I use a modified install-info (see the following URL for details). http://lists.debian.org/debian-dpkg/2007/07/msg00012.html To fix it, I (and you) have to use the special PATH with this directory prepended not at "make install" time, but at "configure" time. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-12etch2unicorn200705201815 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
