Package: amarok Version: 1.4.6-1+b1 Severity: normal trigger: i've switched from solo harddisk to a software raid1 setup and moved all data. Additionally i've switched from seperate /home partition to all-in-one / partition. All files has the same position (file url) after this, only underlying harddisks and partitions has changed.
problem: Now my music collection is empty. i've take a look into my amarok (postgresql) database and found the problem: file urls are saved relative to deviceid and this deviceid don't exists anymore. What is now the best way to get my collection data back again? I can try to change all entries in my postgresql database, but i'm not sure if this is the preferred way and which snares are waiting for me. Which tables/entries must be changed? I know, this sounds more like a whishlist report, but i think moving a complete system (or restore a backup) to a new hdd should not break a music player database. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22.1-cfs-v19-nias (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages amarok depends on: ii amarok-engines 1.4.6-1+b1 output engines for the Amarok audi ii amarok-xine [amarok-eng 1.4.6-1+b1 xine engine for the Amarok audio p ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-1 core libraries and binaries for al ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.19-3 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libaudio2 1.9-2+b1 The Network Audio System (NAS).
