Package: libestools1.2-dev
Version: 1:1.2.3-11
Severity: important

Some of the header files contains a macro guarded inclusion which
includes a non-existing file named est_string_config.h. Here's some snips:

// /usr/include/speech_tools/EST_String.h
37 #ifdef HAVE_CONFIG_H
38 #    include "est_string_config.h"
39 #endif

As you can see, the non-existing est_string_config.h will be included if
HAVE_CONFIG_H is defined, which is very common with autotools generated
packages. Currently it causes FTBFS with new stardict version 3.0.0, and
possibly a majority of rdepends.

It is said that the new 2.0beta version 1.96 of festival and version
1.2.96 of speech-tools has fixed this glitch already, which is binary
compatible with 1.4.3. It is highly appreciated if the new version is
packaged for Debian.
