Everytime the logrotate script handles samba (once a week) samba exits
normally, to be seen afterwards in log.smbd.1.gz as follows:

After restart samba suddenly crashes with the following output:

I'm using Debian Woody with security updates, kernel 2.4.28 vanilla.
