Package: sox Version: 13.0.0-1+b1 Severity: normal
It's no longer possible to use sox with flac input or output files. Although the sox binary links against libFLAC.so.8, sox --help doesn't list flac support; and when trying to use sox -t flac, it reports "File type `flac' is not known". This used to work with 13.0.0-1. Indeed, the build log shows that the configure script didn't detect flac availability when building the newer package -- seems it doesn't work with the newer libflac version. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages sox depends on: ii libasound2 1.0.14a-2 ALSA library ii libc6 2.6-2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libflac8 1.1.4-3+b1 Free Lossless Audio Codec - runtim ii libgsm1 1.0.10-13 Shared libraries for GSM speech co ii libmad0 0.15.1b-2.1 MPEG audio decoder library ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libsamplerate0 0.1.2-5 audio rate conversion library ii libsndfile1 1.0.17-3 Library for reading/writing audio ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2.dfsg-2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisenc2 1.1.2.dfsg-2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.1.2.dfsg-2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi sox recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
