The ascii man page has text with no spaces between words,  man -t barcode 
produces output with similarly run-together text

ascii example:

       -i filename
              Identifyafilewherestringstobeencodedarereadfrom.If         miss-
              ing(andif-bisnotused)itdefaultstostandard    input.Eachdataline-
              oftheinputfilewillbeusedtocreate onebarcodeoutput.
              
              
man gives errors:
