if(buffer[1]!='P' && buffer[1]!='I' && buffer[2]!='N')I believe the first two conditions of this if statement can't be satisfied at the same time! It also seems to me that the three conditions should be or'd, not anded. I don't think this actually causes a bug, but it's wrong nevertheless.
