Package: rtorrent Version: 0.7.4-2+b1 Severity: important --- Please enter the report below this line. --- 2 related errors: 1) installing the latest rtorrent does not upgrade the libtorrent version. That is, when i moved from rtorrent 0.7.1 to latest (0.7.4-2+b1), it did not bring libtorrent with it, which stayed at 0.11.1. It should have brought me to 0.11.4. But it didn't, see 2) 2) Rtorrent and libtorrent are released as a couple and should be packaged as such. Thus, having rtorrent 0.7.4 be the latest version in the repos should mean that libtorrent 0.11.4 is the latest version. Now I have 0.11.5 and need to downgrade manually.
These are issues further because many trackers disallow the use of mixing versions of stable/unstable and may lead to an IP ban on the tracker. Please make the packaging for rtorrent/libtorrent more consistent.
