We know that at least some problems with slapd crashing can be worked around by making sure that you either don't use nss-ldap on the system with slapd or you run slapd as root. The problem is the library conflicts between the libraries with which nss-ldap is compiled and the libraries slapd uses, and is therefore just another consequence of the GnuTLS issues. > 2. brokenness in old version of libldap2 that looks like it is fixed in > the latest version of the library used by ldapsearch. Right. Basically, we're in a holding pattern waiting for the OpenLDAP 2.4 release. Unfortunately, it doesn't even have a beta yet. I'm desperately hoping that we can move to it before the next stable release. -- Russ Allbery ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) <http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
