Package: bluez-firmware Version: 1.0-2 Severity: normal From debian/copyright:
The BlueZ project has permission from Broadcom Corporation to distribute this firmware in conjunction with the BlueZ GPLd tools, available in Debian as bluez-utils, as long as the notice contained in /usr/share/doc/bluez-firmware/BCM-LEGAL.txt accompanies the firmware. However, no where are the details of this permission indicated in the package (nor are they trivially available on the BlueZ project website.) Please place the e-mails from Broadcom or whatever is actually being used to gain permision to distribute this firmware in the debian/copyright file. [Even if they were present in the upstream site, it needs to be present in the package... although, I may have mised it.] Don Armstrong -- Miracles had become relative common-places since the advent of entheogens; it now took very unusual circumstances to attract public attention to sightings of supernatural entities. The latest miracle had raised the ante on the supernatural: the Virgin Mary had manifested herself to two children, a dog, and a Public Telepresence Point. -- Bruce Sterling, _Holy Fire_ p228 http://www.donarmstrong.com http://rzlab.ucr.edu
