Please do not try to ignore reality. The user I was responding was interested in cdrecord and not in a defective fork. You should not patronize your users but instead respect your users. Users like to have supported working software. Debian denies this to it's users. People from Debian still spread a lot of incorrect claims on the original software and as long as this disinformation continues, I need to inform people about reality.
