Version 4.3.10-1 got accidentally linked against the embedded database library libfbembed. The embedded database probably tried to load the configuration file and failed when that didn't work.
Version 4.3.10-2 which will be in unstable shortly is properly linked against libfbclient. Could you verify version 4.3.10-2 fixes this so I can close the bug? Cheers, Remco.
