Ok, there are packages on their way to incoming for amd64 that should fix the current build bug.
I don't know what ubuntu did to include this for that arch, maybe they have patches they have not forwarded, or maybe they just built it blind, ignored the warnings, and no one has used it. The long list of warnings about truncated ints are NOT BENIGN -- they are actually a sign of io primitives being called with the value and port numbers swapped. That should do "interesting" things to anyone using the affected code. I think I've fixed that in this release too, but as is usual for this one, I can't test most of it myself, so be careful folks. We'll fix whatever other bugs shake out as people with the relevant hardware find and report them.
