I can confirm this bug on some of my systems where pptpd security patch for 1.3.0-2etch1 is running.
It seems only to occur on my boxes which run with a 2.4.x Kernel, whith the mppe patch from http://mppe-mppc.alphacron.de/ (module: ppp_mppe_mppc) On the 2.6.2x machines where i used the MPPE which come with the kernel the problem does not occur. In both cases i use pppd version 2.4.4, so the problem seems to be related to the mppe patch for kernels 2.4.
