To verify this, I used an older kernel (to proove, the kernel itself it is not the reason for the freeze), downgraded to 14.100.09, and some other things, which are connected to the nvidia-packages. Result: The reason is the package nvidia-glx in its latest version. The latest nvidia-kernel is working with the version prior to the latest nvidia-glx version. I hope, this helps.
