There seems to be no newer version in unstable; etch and sid both still
have firehol 1.231-7. In volatile I can only find 1.231-2sarge1volatile2
with a .deb date of 2007-03-12 (3 days after the above mail exchange).

Are there any plans to do something about it, in volatile, a stable
release update or at least unstable (then testing and later backports)?

There are real hosts on the Internet today that are currently blocked by
Debian firehol; at least with a 77.x.x.x IP address, which is part of
the change from the URL above. This can be difficult to figure out if it
hits you unexpectedly... ;)

For the record, a workaround is to replace ${UNROUTABLE_IPS} in
/etc/firehol/firehol.conf with the definition in /lib/firehol/firehol
minus the offending IP address blocks.

Regards, Fabian
