Hi The logrotate script that ships with the fail2ban package stalls. Preventing all other cron.daily scripts that are sorted after the logrotate script to be not executed. After restarting the whole system all cron.daily scripts are executed correctly but after a few days the logrotate script hangs in the postrotate hook of the fail2ban script. cu Alex - -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (300, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-023stab043.3-smp Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages fail2ban depends on: ii iptables 1.3.6.0debian1-5 administration tools for packet fi ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii python 2.4.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-central 0.5.12 register and build utility for Pyt ii python2.4 2.4.4-3 An interactive high-level object-o fail2ban recommends no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFGpJRbci0IS3Y4ncoRAoGYAJ9SKI3nJfKk60B6QI7zkmIuuFcbrgCZAY7t 3EiOFgnxPbkkhlSK8XQ+yQE= =g9G5 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
