I searched for packages containing libexpat.so on p.d.o and got libdevel/libexpat1-dev. I wondered a little about -dev but accepted it without further thinking and did not notice that the real lib is in libexpat1. Seems that it has been to late for me. And my ldd output is the same as yours. I don't know why I haven't seen it even if the last line is rather pronounced. Sorry for this noise. Perhaps we should ask on debian-ppc for help? Wolfi
