I would lock down [EMAIL PROTECTED] That is, only accept mail which includes a _keyword in the address. And in my opinion, there would be no need for _contact. packages.d.o should just send mail to _default and the maintainer. I think that covers all the cases. (Except that the maintainer has to remove the default keyword if they subscribe to the PTS, in order not to receive mail twice; but alas, the same would happen with _contact. The PTS could be smart and not subscribe to _default or _contact by default if the person subscribing is the maintainer).
