This looks like a bug in the kernel module or even the hardware, not
in hibernate. I am thus reassigning. When you figure out
a workaround, maybe then we can add it to hibernate.

It seems as if the forcedeth driver or the card cannot handle S3
suspends and fails to configure itself properly after resume.

nVidia make really crap network cards, and the forcedeth module is
reverse engineered, since nVidia does not disclose any information.
My suggestion would be to buy a new card (<= 5€) based on the
8139too (Realtek) chipset, the via-rhine chipset, or the e1000
(Intel EtherExpress 1000) chipset.
