Urs, Thank you for your more than patient explanation. I believe I found what seems to be the bug: if one of the fields, either from the import or the export dialog, is not filled, kid3 doesn't store the new format. The same happens if I edit kid3rc directly: if one of the fields is left blank, kid3 restores the lists to their default values.
Your example works because all fields have values. If one field is left empty, the format is not stored. This still seems to be a bug to me, particularly because some of the default formats do not have values for all fields, and it doesn't make sense to mandate all fields. In my particular case, I was trying to export a simple list of all track titles, so I don't need to have values for header nor trailer. And, for importing, I just wanted to parse a list of 'artist - title' lines, without any header. Regards, Paulo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
