Package: electricsheep Version: 2.6.8-6 Severity: normal When electricsheep was installed on my system, it placed the electricsheep.desktop file for gnome-screensaver in the /usr/share/gnome-screensaver/themes directory. However, electricsheep did not appear in the gnome-screensaver preferences as an option. I ran "pkg-config --variable themesdir gnome-screensaver" and found that my theme directory was /usr/share/applications/screensavers. Upon copying the electricsheep.desktop file to /usr/share/applications/screensavers, and rebooting the system, electricsheep appeared as an option in gnome-screensaver.
Is it possible for apt to check what the themesdir is for a system and then place the .desktop file there? Also, I noticed that the installer placed a .desktop file in my /usr/share/control-center/Desktop folder. Should there be an electric sheep item in the Gnome control center? -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-2-powerpc Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages electricsheep depends on: ii curl 7.16.2-6 Get a file from an HTTP, HTTPS or ii debconf 1.5.13 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.5-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libexpat1 1.95.8-3.4 XML parsing C library - runtime li ii libice6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg-progs 6b-13 Programs for manipulating JPEG fil ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng12-0 1.2.15~beta5-2 PNG library - runtime ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-1+b1 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxv1 1:1.0.3-1 X11 Video extension library ii xloadimage 4.1-16 Graphics file viewer under X11 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime electricsheep recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
