Okay, I have now a better picture what is bugreport is about.

The first test / check / expriment that has to be done,
is find out if it is possible.

Assumme the old situation ( the upcoming situation will be simular )

* amd64 not in Debian.org
* i386 is
* vim is build on amd64
* there is a vim-common   (build on amd64)

do this

* download manually the amd64 vim-common.deb
* overwrite the "i386 vim-common deb" manually in the apt-proxy pool
* try to install vim-common on the i386

The thing I fear is that vim-common-amd64build md5sum is
different md5sum in the i386 Package file.
