During installation, the package displays irrelevant and panicky information about needed changes in the LILO configuration files while grub is the standard debian boot loader. Detecting if Grub or LILO is the boot loader is easy to do and should be done before this unnecessairy information screen is displayed. Further more the installer could check by itself if the needed changes is already included in the configuration file instead of requiring a user to do so.
