Explanation: My daemon is checking ~/.tdsmstools/spool/*.out and move it to /var/spool/tdsmstools/outgoing/ and it has the permission -rw-rw---- 1 tdsmstools smds 268 2007-06-22 03:17 1182475058.out but if it was send/failed it has -rw------- 1 smds smsd 274 2007-06-22 03:21 1182475058.out and it is not more accessible. This should not be happen. Since I run this on a Intranet-Server with currently 9 Cell-Phones for 2800 Users attached, I do not realy like to run my "tdsmsdaemon" as ${ROOT} to get the messages back into the ${USER} space. The old version with "putsms" and "getsms" went working 100 times better and more reliable. Oh, not to forget that I have tried to use some GTK-Frontends for smstools but no one can access received or send messages anymore. Please check, whether this is a Debian or Upstreams problem. Note: Last night I have already splited "smsd" into a "getsms" and "putsms" executable and now I am testing. Files in /var/spool/sms/*/ should have UID smsd, GID smsd and MODE 0660 to allow 3 party tools to access the service by putting itself into GROUP smsd. -- Linux-User #280138 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org/ ##################### Debian GNU/Linux Consultant ##################### Michelle Konzack Apt. 917 ICQ #328449886 50, rue de Soultz MSN LinuxMichi 0033/6/61925193 67100 Strasbourg/France IRC #Debian (irc.icq.com)
