Package: libgems-ruby1.8 Version: 0.9.4-1 Severity: important
Whenever I try to install a new ruby gem or update the ones I have through a http proxy, gem quits with an exception: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo gem update --http-proxy http://wwwproxy.swin.edu.au:8000/ Password: ERROR: While executing gem ... (NoMethodError) undefined method `[]=' for #<Gem::ConfigFile:0xb77f7418> This is reported in the upstream bug tracker (http://rubyforge.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=8152&group_id=126&atid=575), but doesn't seem to have been fixed upstream despite the age of the report. The suggested patch in the bug tracker seems to work for me. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-jh (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libgems-ruby1.8 depends on: ii libopenssl-ruby1.8 1.8.6-1+b1 OpenSSL interface for Ruby 1.8 ii libruby1.8 1.8.6-1+b1 Libraries necessary to run Ruby 1. ii rdoc1.8 1.8.6-1 Generate documentation from Ruby s Versions of packages libgems-ruby1.8 recommends: ii rubygems 0.9.4-1 package management framework for R -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
