Marco has previously stated that downgrading of m-i-t is not supported. Feel free to look at #428953 and #429572 to get a taste of the joys that await if you step on that road. I haven't looked closely at pre11-3's pre/postrm, but you might be okay if you were to remove pre11-3 (using --force if necessary) before installing pre11-1.
