file does not properly recognize DICOM file (DICM magic number). for instance the two following files are not recognized as DICOM: http://www.creatis.insa-lyon.fr/viewcvs/viewcvs.cgi/gdcmData/D_CLUNIE_CT1_RLE.dcm -> TIFF image data, little-endian and http://www.creatis.insa-lyon.fr/viewcvs/viewcvs.cgi/gdcmData/ACUSON-24-YBR_FULL-RLE.dcm -> Apple QuickTime movie (unoptimized) If the first 128 bytes are blank (0), followed by DICM, then this is a 'pure' DICOM file.
