I can just confirm this behaviour, but the script alsaconf is mentioned tu use with 2.4 kernel. 2.6. , as yours, should load snd-intel8x0 via udev. snd-intel8x0m I guess is the relevant modem driver, which should be loaded with index -2. Please have a look at /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base and /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base-blacklist.
After posting the report, I had checked it more. The actually required driver for me is snd-hda-intel. The output /etc/modprobe.d/sound correctly specifies this, but the module is not automatically loaded by alsaconf. Niether by "/etc/init.d/alsa force-reload". Only manual modprobe works. I haven't tried rebooting, though. -- Theppitak Karoonboonyanan http://linux.thai.net/~thep/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
