I apologize for not responding sooner. I never got your reply due to
Deb Bug#389475, which caused my mail server to reject messages for a few
hours. Super.
I'll leave you to be the judge of the bug severity level. I felt it met
the requirements at the time I filed it as reportbug instructed me.
Before I respond further, I should note that downgrading samba from
3.0.25a-2 to 3.0.24-6etch4 resolves this issue without any change to my
configuration. I'm not sure what version I was at before I upgraded,
but I could go find out if necessary.
Below is a copy of my smb.conf, which I have reduced in size greatly,
but this is still giving me the same problem. Note that even if I take
the share config down to what I posted in my original bug, the same
problem persists.
