Package: dhcp3-client Version: 3.0.4-13 Severity: normal According to the manpage: The DHCP client can be directed not to attempt to configure any interfaces using the -n flag. But when I try "dhclient -n eth0" it does remove my old IP address!
This is suboptimal as I just wanted to see which address I would have gotten from the server without actually chaning my current IP. bye, -christian- -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.21-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages dhcp3-client depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.11 Debian configuration management sy ii debianutils 2.17 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii dhcp3-common 3.0.4-13 Common files used by all the dhcp3 ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries dhcp3-client recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
