hi,

as ubuntu bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nbd/+bug/121827
states, the inetd code was disabled in the source. This is pretty fatal
for us at ltsp.org since we just switched to base everything on nbd
exported squashfs files.
As long as we dont have a proper connection based timeout mechanism
(currently only traffic is checked for, which is pretty odd if you
have / on nbd and dont read from it constantly like ltsp clients do
after they started up everything), we're bound to rely on tcpd's
keepalive settings which we get through running nbd-server through an
inetd wrapper.

please reintroduce the inetd option.

ciao
        oli
