I dropped into the command line and tried some of the lines by hand. > #font (hd0,6)/usr/share/grub/unifont.pff
The font load immediately reboots my system. > #set gfxmode=640x480 > #insmod gfxterm > #insmod vbe > #terminal gfxterm These all seemed to work, but without the font loaded, I couldn't read a thing.
