Package: partman-partitioning Version: 50 When I wrote the changes to the disk in partman, it wrote a wrong partition table to mbr. Even if I did not any changes (except setting a partition as a mountpoint and formating the swap space) in the partition table.
The problem appeared two times I tried it. Even when the mbr partition table was corrupted, it was able to read it from GPT. But when writing to disk, it wrote the same corrupted table (it seems that It wrote only the first partition record, but with the end cylinder set to the end of whole disk) I used the snapshot of netinst CD of Debian testing for the amd64 plattform. This is my hexdump of the MBR partition table after recovering it. I am not able to post the corrupted table now. 000001a0 bb 01 00 b4 0e cd 10 ac 3c 00 75 f4 c3 00 00 00 |........<.u.....| 000001b0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 fe |................| 000001c0 ff ff ee fe ff ff 01 00 00 00 27 40 06 00 00 fe |..........'@....| 000001d0 ff ff af fe ff ff 28 40 06 00 00 00 5c 07 00 fe |......(@....\...| 000001e0 ff ff 82 fe ff ff 28 40 66 07 41 42 0f 00 80 fe |......(@f.AB....| 000001f0 ff ff 83 fe ff ff 69 82 75 07 bc 6f db 01 55 aa |......i.u..o..U.| marek sterzik -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
