Package: dosemu Version: 1.4.0-2rb Severity: wishlist Under 1.2 and the separately packaged freedos, /etc/freedos held key configuration files (autoexec.bat and config.sys) and the default drives had links to them. It would be nice to have this facility in the current package.
There's some chance 1.2 didn't have that, but I've manually made the change. It's still a nice feature :) The currently shipping version has /usr/lib/dosemu/drive_z/{autoexec.bat,config.sys} has regular files. To change this one must either alter those files (possibly by making them symlinks), thereby violating the FHS, or replicate them in one's own directory. I did the latter, using a symlink farm. I notice the autoexec.bat shipped differs significantly from the old one. It might be worth putting something about that, and the whole /etc/freedos directory (a recommendation to delete it?) in the release notes. The current setup in which drives c and d are the same drive, config.sys references the d: drive, and autoexec.bat then swaps in another d: drive also seems peculiar. Maybe I just haven't thought about it long enough to divine the reason. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (990, 'stable'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages dosemu depends on: ii libasound2 1.0.13-2 ALSA library ii libc6 2.5-9+b1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgpmg1 1.19.6-25 General Purpose Mouse - shared lib ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.11-8 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libslang2 2.0.7-1 The S-Lang programming library - r ii libsndfile1 1.0.17-1 Library for reading/writing audio ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxxf86vm1 1:1.0.1-2 X11 XFree86 video mode extension l dosemu recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
