Is this really the problem in this case? The up arrows and tab key work
fine for me even after `set -o vi'. ksh defaults to vi mode editing and
I think it would be wrong to change that default whether I think it is
an appropriate default or not.

Juhapekka: can you perhaps verify this bug again please?

Enabling SHOPT_SYSRC is something I don't mind doing if you want.

ksh s+ is in unstable by the way.
